Just a cheap little manip with two pictures
from keirapictures.com for the P & P version with Keira Knightley and Matthew Macfadyen (my favourite version, btw).

I know the movie was allright without a kiss, and if you ask me: it is stupid just to make an American ending with a kiss. But whatever.
I am in a romantic mood right now, so I allow that little bit of kitsch to myself.

Do not use without my permission.

wow finally a kiss! :D that's so cute! but i guess the scenes from the film are emotional enough without kisses :)
:iconavenna:
Yes- I thought so, too. Did you know that they actually shot an American ending, where they kiss at the lake at Pemberley as an ending for the American audience? Maybe they demanded something cheesy....I always loved how well the movie shows the attraction without them actually kissing etc. But I couldn't resist pulling them just a little bit closer together when I saw this screencap :)

:P We love our kiss, thankyouverymuch! Heehee. We may be the cheesiest, over here in America, but sometimes it just pays off! Very nice manip! Seems like it could be some sort of scene of their life after marriage. :D

"Excellent!" I cried.

"Elementary," said he.

Thanks alot! I like the American ending, too, I just think the movie was perfect without it already :) Oh...married life with Mr. Darcy....that's a good thought I tell ya :blowkiss:

So, what scene did it end on originally? Was it Mr. Bennet laughing, or something else? I've always wondered...
Eeeheeheehee, isn't it just? :3

It's just him laughing and saying the whole Mary-and-Kitty-thing. It's a nice ending, too, because you still get to see Lizzie running out of his office, looking extremely happy. :)

A merry merry Christmas to you, by the way! :santa:
